1. my money is on Two-Face still being alive. they NEED him in the third installment to finish the story arc. in the end of Dark Knight, batman is made to be the villain, with Harvey Dent the hero. In order to bring the people back onto Batman's side again, they'll need Two-Face to return and fight against Batman. Everyone will see that Harvey Dent was not the perfect 'white knight' that everyone made him out to be, and Batman will be redeemed.

I think they'll sneak Catwoman into the mix somehow, and she'll blow Michelle Pfeifer's catwoman out of the water!

4. Um Michelle Pfeifer was an awesome Catwoman. No one can steal her thunder. She even looks like a cat with her cat eyes.

5. I think it would be good for 2 face to wake up and escape Gordon's grasp and be missing.. If the Penguin is ever in it at all , he should be just some chump wanna be villian that Batman defeats like an average thug ..Catwoman ...eh .. you would have to do that very tastefully and not make it cheesy.
BANE would be and awesome villian in the next film... a serious "intelligent assasain" (unlike the Batman 4 "tragedy" ) , and a huge challenge for Batman in a hardcore hand to hand combat scene.. 2 Face will need his mentor and brilliant criminal mastermind Joker to accomplish his goals. After 2 Face breaks Joker out of Arkham , The Dark Knight is faced with more problems after relaxing and wanting to retire from barely getting Bane locked up.(maybe then changing his villian status to a hero). Of course after it all Batman defeats their mission redeems himself as no longer a villian but a hero .. He'll lock 2 Face up .. but after Batman pummels Joker a little . lets let the Joker get away and be missing.. Hows that sound ?

10. Two Face is dead, not unconscious. The entire point was that Dent died, and Batman took the burden of his crimes. If Dent was still alive, then he would still be a villain and people would know it; QED Batman would not have to act like he did the crimes. They wanted him to die a hero. The ending would make no sense if he were alive.

11. I agree with Wayne. In an unscripted interview several months before TDK was released, Nolan stated that Two-Face would be involved in the 3rd installment, thus completing the original story formulated by BB and TDK.

13. A friend of mine suggest the Riddler, played by Michael Emerson, and I agree. The Riddler could fit into Nolan's Batman universe and Emerson would do a really good job with the role.

15. So far they've kept the villains faily realistic. So someone like Clayface, Man-Bat, or Mr. Freeze might be a stretch (Bane too possibly). Catwoman, Penguin and Riddler are the most likely selections from the Rogues' Gallery, and I'd be fascinated to see Nolan's take on any of them. A darker Riddler? A more conflicted Catwoman?

If Ledger were still alive, the Joker could have continued. Ra's Al Ghul could still be kicking around too for all we know.

But I think Black Mask would be interesting, and would fit in the movie mythos. The Gotham underworld is in disarray, so it would be an opportune time for him to step in and take over. He wouldn't be enough though, so you'd need to bring in one of the Rogues' Gallery regulars from above.

they had the funeral for 2 face he's dead though I would like to see him come back I also think the riddler would be very good because of the technology we have now.... the penguin would NOT be a good criminal because he's not very intimidating and besides do u honestly think that movie with catwomen and penguin was that good I would love to see the joker come back and work with the riddler
also the killer croc wouldn't be that bad but I think he would be better for the hulk

17. Peter...i think you missed the whole point of the movie. Dent is the Hero that Gotham needs. Someone who is incorruptible even if it is all for show in the end. Batman chose to take on the burden because he knows that the people remembering Dent for what he was and not what he became, gives them hope. Hope is what they need, and in the end thats all batman cares about. He does not care if he is considered a good or bad guy he was never in it for the glory.

Dent is dead he is not coming back. There is no way Nolan would bring him back it would just ruin the whole message of this film.

18. I would be shocked if Dent were actually dead. I think its much more likely that they merely carted him off to Arkham and were trying to hide him so as not to ruin the impact he's had on the city. Plus, I've seen interviews with Eckhart where he talks about hopefully coming back for a third movie, so it seems pretty likely to me that they didn't introduce a major batman villian just to have him die off after being on screen for 50 minutes.

19. Right on, Eric. Whoever thinks that Two-Face is still alive COMPLETELY missed the message, as well as the whole ending, where they had the commemorative service for Harvey Dent. He's knocked out? Then why were Batman and Gordon talking about him in the past tense? They would've A)made a point to indicate he was still alive, B)spoken about him in the present tense (i.e "This ISN'T who Harvey Dent IS"), and C) Definitely would've mentioned something about locking/hiding him away somewhere no one could ever know about. They would've still had hope for him, they would've said "we can change him", and thus they WOULDN'T have had the commemorative service.

You all really aren't thinking about what actually happened. I saw the movie thrice and not once were there any doubts about the importance of Two-Face's death.

Say Two-Face IS alive: the way that Nolan created the character- the whole meaning behind him- is too weak to carry a whole 3rd movie as a main villain. He'd be whining about Rachel Dawes the entire time, which is what's been going on for the first two movies, and it'd just suck to happen in the third as well- people would get so sick and tired of it. The span of his existence and purpose in The Dark Knight was spot-on, and while the third one might allude back to him in some areas (thus Aaron Eckhart/Two-Face would be technically be in the third, to fit the rumors you've heard), there's just no way he could be a strong enough villain for the third movie. Just THINK about it.

The Two-Face we all knew before The Dark Knight could have carried a movie, very possibly, but- like I said- Nolan's version of him was meant for a shorter and more to-the-point facet of his trilogy.

20. when some villains die they are very definitely dead. all we saw was 2face on the floor, intact, after falling a reasonable height. definitely not confirmed dead. it wouldn't take much explaination to bring 2face into a third film and i agree with whoever said that a third film would need him to complete the story arc.
